BAPTISM
Baptisms are held at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, St. Leo the Great Church. To schedule a Baptism and Baptism preparation class please the parish office : 203-756-7919
RECONCILIATION/CONFESSION
Confessions are heard every Saturday at Mary, Mother of the Church / St. Leo the Great Church at 3:00pm before the Vigil Mass
COMMUNION
As Catholics, we fully participate in the celebration of the Eucharist when we receive Holy Communion. We are encouraged to receive Communion devoutly and frequently. In order to be properly disposed to receive Communion, participants should not be conscious of grave sin and normally should have fasted for one hour. First Holy Communion is celebrated by children in the 2nd grade (after completion of one year of Religious Ed. preparation).
CONFIRMATION
Students in grade 10 receive the sacrament of Confirmation after 2 years of preparation. Adults are also welcome to be confirmed if they have not yet received the sacrament of Confirmation. Please call the Rectory for information.
MARRIAGE
Couples contemplating marriage are asked to contact the rectory at least 6 months in advance of their desired wedding date. Don't book your reception until you've book with us at the church!
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK
The Sacrament of the sick is administered to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness of body or mind. It is a rite that is performed to convey God's Grace to the recipient through the power of the Holy Spirit. This sacrament is given upon request. Please call the rectory if you are in need of this sacrament.

Sponsor Certificates
The job of a sponsor or godparent is to be a Christian role model in someone's life. A sponsor or God parents is required for the sacraments of Confirmation and Baptism. To request a certificate you need to contact the church that the sponsor or godparent is registered at. They will give you a form to sign. The requirements are:

A visible sign instituted by Christ by which invisible GRACE is communicated
to the soul. Sacraments are REAL encounters with God.

Every Sacrament has a "past, a present and a future".
The past is where the sacrament originates from in scripture, the present
is the ritual the day it is celebrated & the future is how you live it.
